Psalm 61

For the leader with strings
Of David

Hear O God my cry
attend to my prayer
from the end of the earth

to you I will call
when my heart is overwhelmed
to the rock that is higher than I

you will lead me
for you have been my refuge
a tower of strength in the face of an enemy
I will live in your tent for ever
I will take refuge in the secrecy of your wings

Selah

for you O God have heard my vows
you have shared the inheritance of those who fear your name

Days to the day of the king you will add
his years are as the generations
he will dwell for ever before the face of God
prepare mercy and truth to guard him
so I will make music to your name for ever
to complete my vows day by day
